About Us
Who We Are
We are Brandon and Ashley and we live here on our Kentucky farm with our sweet dogs! Brandon has loved dogs since he was a little boy. His favorite dogs have been his German Shepherd named Buddy and our Australian Shepherd (Aussie) named Ellie! I (Ashley) grew up in a family that raised Miniature Schnauzers but the first time I saw an Aussie was at a dog show when I was about 10 and I had never seen such a pretty dog before! We bought our first Aussie in January of 2020 and fell in love with her! Our sweet Ellie had her first litter in August of 2022.
Happy, Healthy Bloodline
All our mama and papa dogs are genetic tested for defects and have regular check ups with our local veterinarian. We only breed dogs with excellent dispositions and treat them as part of our family! Training, playtime, exercise and a healthy balanced diet are constants here at Harvest Ridge and we are far from a puppy mill! Our dogs are our beloved pets who we breed occasionally with great care.
Why Australian Shepherds?
Australian Shepherds have wonderful personalities and adapt well to families with children and other dogs. Despite being high-energy animals, these dogs are not aggressive and make ideal companions in an active household. They are known for being one of the smartest breeds of dog which makes them ideal for learning tricks or tasks. Australian Shepherds do well with agility competitions or as active ranch herders. They are also great watchdogs who are sure to keep your family alerted to intruders while being a loyal companion. On top of that... Aren't they beautiful?
